Did you know that Julia Childs was an OSS agent? No, seriously she was. Puts a whole new meaning to “keep the necks” huh? I guess she was an OG Jane Bond. Straight gangster…..and from what we are lead to believe, a hell of a cook.
I bet she’s pretty good with that knife.
So I did some cooking this past week. Well, I mean I cook every week….but this time I took pictures. I’ve been told to do this and put it in the blog. You guys seem to like cooking related content. At least that’s what the “metrics” show. You see as a cold hearted influencer, you get access to this information in your “dashboard”. You get one along with your decoder ring at the first meeting.
Anyway, what you see up above you is a Turkish dish called shish kebob. This is what it actually looks like. It’s freaking awesome.
1/4 pound of ground beef per person -the coarser the grind, the better
finely chopped peppers
1-2 Serrano Pepper
1-Red Bell Pepper
2-Aneheim Peppers
Crushed red pepper
Fresh garlic 3-4 cloves
Little salt & pepper
By the way, this is spicy. My recipe is turned way down from the original. You can certainly go hotter. The Turks are crazy like that.
Anyway, chop and mix and chop and mix all the bits together into a large ball ‘o meat - well mixed. put this in the fridge while you make the salad. It needs to be cold.
Salad:
Two red onions. Yes, it really does need to be red onions
1/2 Bunch of finely chopped parsley
Salt
Sumac
Cut your onions in half and slice thinly. Add the parsley, cover it with a a good pinch of salt, and throw on about a tablespoon of sumac. Mix all this together with your hands and squeeze it a bit. Get the juices out of the onion. Put the whole pile in a bowl and go back to your meat.
Form the Kebab around the Shish. The Shish is the stick or skewers or actual Shish (which are actually flat) and refrigerate while the coals come up.
Grill till cooked, put it on your pita or lavash bread, add the salad, and eat.
I’ll do another recipe soon. I took pictures of my Chili Colorado. That’ll warm you up on a cold night.
You wanna learn about that?

Here’s some snow ice cream The Girl made the other day when it was cold as hell.
It was actually pretty damn good. The mint worked out awesome, and the vanilla was great too.
Next topic:
So…speaking of “cold as hell”, did I mention that today is 62 degrees warmer than this time last week?
The high last Tuesday was 11. The low Thursday morning was -5. Today was 73. Its a bit muddy here right now. The Wife and I went for a ride this evening. Beautiful weather for a motorcycle.
Project AdventureDog© is coming along well! The first outside tracker network parts went online the other day. With this thing, we can track FarmDog reliably when she decides to “eff off” out into the woods. We’ve successfully tracked the miscreant 3 times now.
Just testing right now. Were getting about a mile of range so far. Not bad for 1/10th of a watt!
I had to design and build some circuitry to provide reliable solar power & battery backup. According to my calculations, we should be good for three days with no sun at all. Now, I am endurance testing.
I’ll keep you guys informed of the progress.
Well, that’s all
I have for this week. I need to clear out a few memes, so… enjoy.
This gas dad. Nah but seriously your food is really good 😼🤷♀️
