Something catchy goes here.
"Thunderbolts and and lighting, very very frighting me!" - Freddy Mercury
Happy Thursday, y’all (all southern and shit)
The image above is from Monday night. We had a few major storms roll through the area this last couple of weeks. For those of you into storm stuff, here is the SPC outlook for that day. Good times.
Praise the Most High that the storms never really hit us that hard. They had tennis ball sized hail 30 miles north of us the other day. For those of you who are all surprised that there are storms here, I tell you that I remember the earthquakes and wildfires of the west coast very well. Everyplace has something.
Anyway…
As promised in my last post (and as required by contract) here are more pictures of FarmDog©
Someone got her Froggy this week.
You know…..her Froggy. If you don’t like this movie and you don’t like Harvey Korman, we aren’t going to be able to be friends. Seriously…..leave now.
I know there are people in the Circle of Trust right now asking “why aren’t there more pictures of the kids”. The answer is simple - Summer started this week….and….there are people subscribed that I don’t know. Yes, this blog is going bigtime.
The Youngest and I have been working on the garden this week.
Both the potatoes and the tomatoes both have their first flowers this last few days. I may even have fruit on the vine by next week….we will see.
Most of the peppers, cucumbers, and eggplant have been put in. The tree in the upper-ish part of this picture is going bye-bye in the next few days.
The squash, zucchini, cantaloupe, and watermelon is in too. I am looking forward to eating melon for breakfast. It might even happen this year. We will see. As an aside, every single picture of the garden from this week was taken with a drone.
Here is a picture of a flower outside my office.
The Wife is still working at Bushwood. She enjoys it, and I am becoming the “stay at home” spouse. Not sure if I’m supposed to start watching “Days” or Maurey Povich or not change out of my pajamas. Can I still shower? Not that She ever did that stuff… I just want to fit the stereotype is all.
The Boy has a job down at the docks. He seems to be doing well down there and can save up some money to do things with. Good for him.
Maybe next week we will start going to the river again on Wednesdays. Who knows.
So… this coming weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Apparently my post was “a bit dark” last year, so here is me trying to be nicer. Here is my annual rant.
Here’s your gentle reminder: this day isn’t for veterans. It’s not for “those who serve(d).” It’s for the ones who never came home. The ones whose parents got a folded flag instead of a phone call. The kids who never met their dad. Maybe take a second to think about that—then go enjoy your cookout. They’d probably want you to, anyway.
End of Rant
Well that is about all that is going on this week. I have to deal with bureaucrats tomorrow, so wish me patience. I’ll explain later.
