Good morning party people. Welcome to the new folks. Hopefully you like what you see here and stick around.

For those of you who are new here, you won’t usually find commentary like last weeks’ rant. But because you are my guest, and I am your host, I will give my commentary right up front on the late unpleasantness.

We all now that OrangeManBad dropped bombs on TurbanManBad the other day. To quote Arthur Sido “The bombs have dropped on Iran, Trump is congratulating himself, and John McCain is furiously masterbating in hell”. I think it was dumb, Trump got played by Bibi and the Deep state like a discount CD at Walmart, and there is no way this ends without American deaths.

If it matters to you: I saw it coming and said something to a couple of people, but I was off by six hours (I failed to account for time zones).

My prediction is this: 100% chance the ceasefire is violated, and my money says that Israel does it. They can’t afford not to finish Iran, and they can’t do it by themselves. I am still expecting some form of “event” that drags the US into this mess.

Again: I want to be wrong.

Now onto our regularly scheduled programming

First off, it’s hot as shit out here shit week so take it easy on the lack of photos. With the heat index (humidity) it’s 109 today. Welcome to the Ozarks, I guess. I have been working a little bit in the garden in the mornings and sweating it out in my office during the daytime, but the rest of the time I’m spending with FarmDog© in the AC. Looking forward to that power bill, I can tell you!

I can update you all on the garden a bit though.

As you can see, my pear is coming along nicely. Hopefully next year the tree will “pop” with pears. But this year we have just the one. As I have said before, I still intend to do some Michelin star over the top caramel encrusted brandy infused super desert thing. With like a brownie - or maybe angel food cake. And ice cream. Don’t worry, there will be pictures.

As you can see, the lettuce is doing quite nicely in the hydro tower. I expect to start harvesting from it shortly. The big tall thing turned out to be a tomatillo plant. I thought it was a left over pepper from the spring planting….but hey….we are going to let it ride. It’s starting to produce right now and I want to see how this goes. Besides, I like Verde and they are kind of necessary. It looks like some basil is starting to pop in it as well! There are a few that I’m not sure if they are parsley or cilantro. I need both, so either way I win. I need to go back and replant a few more pods of things that didn’t take.

The tomatoes are starting to grow into the trellis and I have plenty of fruit on the vine. We should start to ripen up in a few weeks, then we will eat fresh tomatoes for the rest of the season. Of course we will can as well.

Here is the first picture of the grapes coming in for the first time ever. Looks like two bunches so far. We ate our tiny little blueberry harvest a couple of weeks ago.

It’s nice to see some of these things starting to actually produce. Our luck with trees has been so-so, we lost one grape vine, and I think two of the blueberry bushes also.

What else is going on?

Well, I’m planning to help The Wife cram for a motorcycle test next week. She has part of the weekend off so we will head up to the school and I will set up some cones to practice U turns and stuff with. Maybe I will bring the drone and do some action shots. Hopefully everything goes well there and she can join the ranks of a full fledged, triple patched, 1% ‘er, ya dig. Or not. She will need a “biker codename”. I’ll work on that. Leave your ideas in the comments.

The kids are holed up in the AC and coming out when they have to. And just about only when they have to. The stupid “heat dome” that funnels humidity in from the Gulf of Nobody Has Been Arrested Yet, er…. I mean the “Gulf of America” is supposed to break a bit next week. Go away dome! Nobody likes you!
