Break's Over, back to work.
"Come on boys! The way your lollygagging around with them picks and them shovels you would think its 120 degrees. Can't be more than 114" - Slim Pickens
Happy Thursday all.
So… the big news this week is that both The Wife and I have work. I am doing some contract work for a client I used to work with back at Glorious People’s Tractor Factory #26 (GPTF#26). I am looking for more. The Wife is starting in a couple of days at October Revolution Offroad Ranch #4 (OROR#4) . So… Like I said in the title “breaks over, back to work”.
So, we got that going for us, which is nice.
Spring is doing it’s thing and the trees are busy having sex - allergies are a thing here, but not as bad as back in the PNW. Here are some pictures of the garden stuff.
If everything keeps going like it is, we should actually get some pears this year.
Beets are almost ready to go into the ground. Yes, we do eat beets. Borscht is good.
The blueberries are looking like they want to produce this year and the first 7 of the potatoes have popped up in the mound. I didn’t get a picture of that. I will for next week.
We had a bit of a cold snap this past week after the last rainstorms came though driving night time temps into the 40s, so it has delayed me putting more stuff into the gardens. It looks like that will break in the next few days.
So, we went to the water for the first time this season as a family on Sunday. Beautiful day. The water was just right for me, which means it’s a bit chilly by the local standards.
FarmDog© says the water is just fine and that you really need to pay more attention to her. On a completely unrelated note, I am contractually obligated to post more pictures of her in season 2, so get used to it.
I am happy to report that the Project Adventuredog© tracking system has passed the water resistance test. Both Sunday in the river, and Monday in the hose shower after she decided to roll in a dead animal.
The week has been fairly quiet other than that. We are cooking up yet another hair brained scheme, but that if for another time. In the mean time here is a picture from earlier tonight taken by my daughter. If you are curious is she helped herself up and stepped on every soft part of my body with her pogo stick like paws - the answer is yes to both.
Well, that’s all the pictures I have this week. See you next time.
Do you have your bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience for this farm store's cashier position?
